Tuesday, 6 June 2006 - The Foreign Minister of Artsakh and the Resettlement Coordinator visited the Patriarchate

On the 6th of June 2006, the Foreign Minister of Artsakh, Georgi Bedrossian and the Resettlement Coordinator, Serge Amirkhanian along with the members of the Lebanese Committee of Artsakh Fund, visited the Armeninan Catholic Patriarchate where they were received by His Beatitude Nerses Bedros XIX, Catholicos Patriarche of Cilicia of the Armenian Catholics. The parish fathers of St. Cross and St. Annunciation churches, the Very Honorable Father Antranig Geranian, the Honorable Father Nareg Louisian and the members of the Eparchie’s committee were also present.

After His Beatitude’s greeting and during the warm and sincere conversation, Mr. Bedrossian and Mr. Amirkhanian delivered extensive information about Artsakh’s political, economical and social conditions, particularly about the Ressetlement Program as well as about the course of the continuous peace negotiations under the international patronage. They reassured about the Artsakians’ indisputable rights and their strong determination to protect these rights, especially the rights to independence and sovereignty to ensure their security. The two coordinators expressed their appreciation towards the supportive attitude that have adopted all Armenians, indicating the function of the Armenian Church and communities in the expected stability and reinforcement of that pan-armenian collaboration.

His Beatitude pledged that Armenians in the diaspora, specially the Lebanese Armenian will continue with their unconditional support for the sake of the international recognition of the natural rights of the people of Artsakh and their comfort.
